Instanz

Instanz (enstasis, instans, instantia): Einwand gegen ein Urteil, gegen einen (Induktions-) Schluß, Ausnahme von einem induktiv gewonnenen Gesetze (vgl. BACHMANN, Syst. d. Log. S. 337), Fall. - ARISTOTELES: enstasis d' esti protasis protasei enantia (Anal. prior. II, 28; II 26, 69a 37). Nach GOCLEN ist »instans« »propositio contraria propositioni propositae« (Lex. philos. p. 245). - F. BACON unterscheidet dreierlei Instanzen bei der Induktion (s. d.): »instantiae positivae, negativae (exclusivae), praerogativae« (die »instantia crucis« ist von besonderer Wichtigkeit) (Nov. Organ.
