Induktionsschluß

Induktionsschluß (induktiver Schluß) ist der Schluß vom Besondern aufs Allgemeine, vom Individuellen, Speciellen aufs Generelle, Typische, Gesetzmäßige. Was von einer Reihe von Fällen gilt, gilt von der ganzen Gattung dieser Fälle: M1, M2, M3 ... =P | M1, M2, M3 ... = S ||. Jedes S = P (»Unvollständige« Induktion). M1, M2, M3 = P | S = M1, M2, M3 || S = P (»Vollständige« Induktion). - Der Induktionsschluß als ho ex epagôgês syllogismos schon bei ARISTOTELES (Anal. pr. II, 23).
